Cropping We will artistically crop your image so it works with the proportions of the canvas size you’ve selected. Sometimes the image you send us just won’t work in the finished size you selected. If that’s the case we’ll call you with an alternative solution. If you choose, we can crop and reproduce only a portion of your photo. Please give us an accurate description of the intended cropping in the comments section of the order form.
Convert to Black & White / Sepia - additional Charge $15 Black & White and Sepia (antique brown) images look awesome on stretched canvas. Many of our customers prefer this timeless look over color. The good news is that we can convert your color photo to either of these techniques.
Photo Restoration – additional charge $80 If you ask 10 people if they could take only one possession from their home, chances are they’d say, “the box of family photos”. Often, these irreplaceable keepsakes have been damaged, with creases, tears, scratches, torn corners, fading and the like. We can restore those images, then, masterfully reproduce them on canvas.
Photo Collage – additional charge $40(first 10 Photos) plus $5 per photo after Our artists love creating collages! We’ll take multiple images and combine them for a one of a kind canvas that tell a family story.
Canvas Made from the highest quality fabric, our heavyweight artist canvas is ideal for photo- graphic and fine art reproductions.
Longevity Our canvases are all treated with a UV inhibiting coat, that protects the canvas from fading. The canvas coating combination is rated to last for over 100 years.
Gallery Wrapping The term "gallery wrapped" refers to the way the canvas is stretched over the wooden supports. In this case, the image "wraps" around the side of the supports and is stapled onto the back. This is a finished look that allows you to hang the piece without a frame. Even though a piece is gallery wrapped, you may still frame it.
Care Like any artwork avoid displaying it in direct sunlight. Clean with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. NEVER use water to clean your canvas. Water droplets will permanently mark the canvas.

Traditional Prints Many of our canvases are created from traditional photographic prints that our customers send to us using our custom photo mailers. A question that frequently arises is “Will I get it back? “ Absolutely. We are obsessive about taking care of our customer’s property. That being said, we strongly recommend NEVER sending us a irreplaceable photograph. Packages can and do get lost in transit and we would hate for you to lose a one of a kind image. If you have a treasured photo and no negative or copy we suggest that you have a high quality duplicate made before sending it to us.
Digital Photography The resolution from most newer digital cameras works perfectly for our canvas product. If your camera is 3 mega pixel or higher and you've taken the photo at the highest setting you won't have a problem. If you're not sure about any of that, you can check the file size by right clicking on your image, then, click on properties, where the size will be displayed. Images that are 2 meg or higher are great. Images under 2 meg but higher than 0.7 meg are usually workable, so go ahead and upload those. JPEG or TIF files are both OK. We'll always call you if there is an issue.
Scanning Tips You can use a flat bed scanner to scan your image at 300 dpi resolution. Save the file in RGB mode using JPEG format with the highest quality setting and lowest compression.
If you have an old photo and don't have a scanner, you can have your photo scanned into a 300 dpi JPEG digital file on a CD at selected Kinko's stores, which you can then upload to us from your PC.

Can you take people from different photos and combine them to make one canvas? Sure we can. It is considered Major Retouching and you should contact us directly at admin@hitanykey.biz to place such an order.
Is this only for digital photos or can you use traditional photos? We don’t discriminate! When you place your order you will be prompted, “digital photo” or “traditional print”, either way we have a solution for you.
Do you do black and white? Black and white canvases look great. Black and white canvases can be created from color or black and white photographs.
Can you restore old pictures? We sure can. You can just check the “Restoration” button on the order form.

Can a canvas be round or oval? We do not currently offer this.
Can I see the picture before you put it on canvas? It is not our policy to do this. Computer screens vary from person to person and it is impossible to get a clear idea of the finished product. We DO, however, guarantee our work, so if you don’t love it we will fix it or refund your money.
Is it actually paint on the canvas? It is not paint. Our artists create the brush strokes using a stylus and electronic tablet. All of our work is done before it ever gets on the canvas. It’s really pretty cool.
Can you use a professional photograph? Yes. We require our customers to confirm that they have permission to reprint the images they provide.
Can you work with a negative? We sure can. Negatives, traditional photos and good quality digital files all turn out GREAT.
Can you remove something or someone out of a picture? Yep. You can see our different retouching options range from removing dates to removing entire backgrounds and replacing with new ones.
Can I make a black and white photo color or vice versa? We can colorize black and white photos AND convert color photos into black and white.
